Cindy Thomas

Cindy Thomas joined K&O following four years on Capitol Hill working as a legislative and political strategist for a Member of Congress. A graduate of The George Washington University and Georgetown Law School, Cindy's legal and political skills are a valuable resource for K&O clients. Cindy has developed particular expertise in the areas of trade, tax and intellectual property. Whether lobbying a Congressional office, developing strategy, drafting legislation or preparing Congressional testimony, Cindy plays an instrumental role in bringing client efforts to a successful conclusion.
 

Dane Farrell

Prior to joining Kent & O’Connor, Dane Farrell worked for an in-house government affairs department of a trade association for a highly regulated industry, where he focused on legislative issues in the areas of energy, the environment, trade and public health. Dane's understanding of the trade associaion environment is invaluable as he assists K&O clients through coalition building and stakeholder outreach in their advocacy efforts. He is adept at working with a wide-ranging array of organizations to develop tailor-made strategies to address client objectives. Dane also spent time on Capitol Hill in a high-profile congressional office, where he worked on a variety of policy issues. Dane received a master's degree in Political Science from James Madison University. He is a native Virginian and an avid fly fisherman.      


Colden Franklin

Colden came to K&O after serving as a press assistant for a Member of Congress. A graduate of Georgia College and State University, Colden studied political science and immersed himself in Georgia politics. Clients rely on his strong communication skills, political know-how and organizational talent to achieve successful outcomes in Washington.
